She also has significant experience handling all types of criminal and traffic cases, business law, and appeals. Known in the legal community for her aggressive style, Amy is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in Washington County and Frederick County, Maryland.

Amy attended college locally at Shepherd University, where she earned a B.S. degree in Biology while minoring in Chemistry. Ms. Gibson’s science background is an asset whenever she is dealing with complex and technical legal issues. After completing her undergraduate work, she moved on to the George Washington School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate.

A Washington County resident, Amy is licensed to practice law in Maryland. She is a former member of the Washington County Bar Association Board of Directors. She also chaired the Washington County Animal Control Board from 2009-2010. During her career, Amy Gibson has also been very active in the pro bono /low bono community, offering her services to such organizations as the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Maryland Volunteer Legal Services, and “Wills for Heroes”.
